Fleetwood Mac are my favourite band of all time.
Since I've been in Asia for the past 6 months, I've missed a lot of new music and music news. I saw the new Rumors CD/DVD/LP set advertised when I returned home. I've heard the discs contain footage from the Fleetwood Mac World Tour in 1977, post-Rumors.
Part of the excitement about the new Rumors set is The Rosebud Film.
MaxTV played it on Thursday night when I was out for dinner. I finally watched it yesterday.
I thought this was going to be more of a documentary about Rumors, so was a bit upset that there wasn't much in the way of interviews with the band. Someone on YouTube has actually put together all the non-music parts of this 30-minute film and it's under 2 minutes!
I love Stevie's description about the different ways that the band all dress.
The live music is wonderful, but if you're a fan, you would have seen the live tracks before. Tracks include:
- World Turning
- Rhiannon
- Say You Love Me
- Go Your Own Way
- You Make Loving Fun
- I'm So Afraid
The outdoor show was filmed on May 2, 1976 on the Campus Field in Santa Barbara, CA. The Rosebud Film is a 1977 Michael Collins documentary about the album which features interviews, rehearsal footage and live performances of the band. It's still great to watch. Enjoy.
